Bakery Progress!!

Hey everyone!!

I've had yet another constructive day with mini-ing (find out why I have so much motivation here) I've been working very hard on The Bakers Dozen, and have spent many hours decorating, tiling, bricking and adding lighting! I'll be the next best Handy Woman in Lincolnshire by the end of the week!

Here's some piccies:

I ran out of tiles!!! :o :(

I do apologise that the first two are the wrong way around.

So there's my work complete for the day. Tomorrow I make is my mission to find my dad's mitre block and cut the skirting. If I cannot find it.. well, I'm sure there's something else I can do!

See you soon!

Friday Feeling...?

Got it? Nope.. neither have I.

Instead, I'm overcome by irritation - or that could just be the fly buzzing around here!
I have no real miniature progress to post at this time, and this frustrates me. I seem to be doing a fair bit of mini-ing just lately, but nothing that I can show you.

I can show you this though:

I do apologise for the awful quality of this photo. It doesn't help that it was a bright morning and the bakery is sat right in front of a window. I dug out the date plaque (reads 1830) and the bakery sign (reads Bakers Dozen) and attached these the other day. I was hoping to get something else more exciting done so I could do a proper post, but nothing exciting has been done yet. Hopefully I can get something done today.

It's about time I did something on Bruion...

See you soon

Me Not Working Hard? Yeah Right Picture That With A Kodak!

Or better yet, go to Time Square and take a picture of me with a Kodak!

I was working super hard yesterday. I did lots of painting, while I was sunbathing, and ended up looking like a smurf in the end! Thankfully, it all came off in time for work!

I was working on the bakery yesterday. I spray painted the front door and removeable roof. I also painted the inside ceiling and the inside walls. I've also re-painted the mortar between the bricks, as I was unhappy with how the stencilling turned out in some places. I really like the fresh effect it's given to the bricks! I usually hate painting, but this was really relaxing, especially in the lovely warm sun.

The best thing about having a balcony is that you can make as much mess as you like without your mother nagging you about getting glue on her kitchen table. You can take as long as you like, without your mother hurrying you to get cleared up for tea! You can also enjoy the sunshine, the birds, the fresh air and the peace of it all... until mother comes along with the lawnmower!

Never mind, I got plenty done regardless and still had time to nose through some catalogues, planning future buys!

Here's some photos :)
